About the NEFSC Junior Board

The Junior Board was established in the fall of 2017 and meets once a month to plan social events for club members, skater education, and community fundraising which includes the Halloween Skate and Trunk or Treat, Holiday Show and Skate with Santa, Skater Clinics (health, exercise, and nutrition such as yoga, cardio drumming, zumba, healthy eating), and ending the year with Sk8apalooza - a friendly skater competition. Their goal is to promote community support both within and outside the rink.

2023-2024 New Edge Figure Skating Club Junior Board

2023’s Holiday Show was a blast! We had over 40 skaters perform holiday themed numbers and raised just over $300 and many items for Almost Home - NO KILL rescue! Here is Coach Kathy and Coach Candace (our Jr Board advisors) with all of the goodies everyone donated!

Community Support

2020's holiday show was delayed due to COVID, but took place in February 2021 and was called “Take 2 Skating Fundraiser.” It benefited the HOPE Warming Center in Pontiac and raised $750 for the organization. Past fundraisers include: (2019) I Heart Dogs, a no-kill animal rescue and haven in Warren, MI collecting items for the shelter and a cash gift of $757; (2018) Gleaners, collecting six large moving boxes filled with can goods; (2017) Purple Heart collecting a dozen boxes filled with items with proceeds to support our vets. The charity is chosen each year by the Junior Board.
